Blocksmith ("we", "this site") is a free, browser-based Minecraft utility tool. This page explains what information is collected, how it is used, and what choices you have.

Information We Collect

Blocksmith does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to its own servers. All tool state (saved palettes, armor sets, banners) is kept exclusively in your browser's localStorage and never leaves your device.

Local File Processing

When you use the Mod Updater, Resource Pack Updater, or Armor Trim skin upload, you may choose files from your computer. These files are processed entirely within your browser. No file contents are uploaded to Blocksmith or any third-party server. Only filenames are sent to the Modrinth public API to look up mod and resource pack data.

Cookies

Blocksmith itself does not set any first-party cookies. However, third-party services embedded on this site (see Google AdSense below) may set cookies on your device as described in their own privacy policies.

Google AdSense and Third-Party Advertising

This site uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve ads that are relevant to your interests, based on your browsing activity across websites. Google's advertising partners may also collect data in connection with these ads.

To opt out of personalized advertising by Google, you can visit adssettings.google.com, or use a browser extension such as the AdChoices opt-out tool.

Third-Party APIs

The Mod Updater and Resource Pack Updater tools make requests to the Modrinth public API to retrieve mod and resource pack metadata. Your browser sends the filenames you provide directly to Modrinth's API. Modrinth's own Privacy Policy applies to those requests.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date at the top.
